Through the Fire presents five new sculptures, each a visual testament to hardship and endurance. The rough, stained and scorched surfaces result from the firing process during which ceramics endure extreme temperature ranges for short periods of time. The method pushes the artist, material and techniques to creative limits. The pieces that survive the fire attest to both the harsh beauty and unpredictability of the process.
